Do you prefer to lead or follow? Or neither?

Do you prefer to lead or follow? Or neither?.

I think both.  My husband assures me that I would make a horrible soldier and end up in the stockade by the end of the first week, so following is definitely a struggle for me.  I have an insatiable urge to ask “why”.  Of everyone.  About everything.  I’m sure it’s maddening to others but necessary for me.  If I understand what you are doing and why, I will follow.  If what you are doing doesn’t make sense to me, then apparently I am staying right where I am or moving you out of the way to lead it myself.

  1. I don’t know, really. I tend to instinctively arrange and give suggestions (orders?) when I’m with a group. So maybe I would lead. Then again, I’m not sure that I’d love the responsibility of leading. But I also don’t like the unquestioning obedience that needs to happen in following. Is there something in between?
