The Woman Behind the Voice

I started this blog quite a few years ago when I discovered that my son had Aspergers Syndrome. This was on top of allergies, asthma and a host of other things trying to kill him. It was a bit stressful so what else to do but blog about it? After solving most of those issues, I went on to become a mature student (again) and documented that journey which ended with high honors in a post-graduate program for Corporate Communications. Well we all know what happens after school right? Mature or otherwise, I began my job hunt. I somehow thought with years of experience it would be less tricky: it wasn’t. So I shared what I learned. I worked for over a year in a government-funded entrepreneurial innovation center as the Communications and Events Manager and that gave me great experience for my next adventure: being an entrepreneur. And I shared what I learned then too. Now? I’m a solopreneur running a successful healthcare communications business, MCV Communications, that focuses on taking the risk out of communications for healthcare organizations and I am the chapter president for the first niche Social Fusion Network group for Health Professionals. Guess what? Still sharing.

My life also includes two kids who are now new teenagers and a husband of 20 years that I adore.  He’s also an awesome husband and father.  How lucky is that ?

With this new direction in my life, I’m learning a host of new things and as I graduated kindergarten at the top of my class in sharing, I’m going to continue to share what I’ve learned and what I think will help others. Why? Because that, my friends, is what life is all about: Adding value.  I hope this blog adds value to your day!
